Santa Clarita’s 10th “Biggest Winner” will be revealed on Tuesday, April 27, at 7:30 p.m. at 27674 Newhall Ranch Road, Ste. 65, in Valencia.
Whereas the popular NBC show, “The Biggest Loser,” focuses on losing the pounds, the “Biggest Winner” is a 12-week lifestyle modification program designed to educate and empower the participants to make the right choices to get lean and strong for a lifetime.
“We start with power thinking. Participants will learn effective affirmations, visualizations and goal setting that will pave the way to success in the program. We address emotional eating, stress eating and how to overcome the blocks to success,” said Dr. Roger De Sesa, the founder of Proactive Health Systems and creator of the Santa Clarita “Biggest Winner” program.
The program includes a three-week detox; three meetings about food, mind, and exercise; weekly consultations and biometric assessments; e-mail support; and a journal, workout book and all instructions. A $500 visa gift card will be awarded to the winner of the competition, based on success in several categories, not just the most weight loss.
The “Biggest Winner” competition that is concluding involves five women and four men who have lost a combined 167.2 pounds. The average pounds lost is 18.6 and the average percentage of weight lost is 7.6 percent.
After the current “Biggest Winner” is revealed, the April 27 meeting will become a free community meeting and Q&A for people interested in participating in the next round, which will begin in May. Cost for the 12-week program is $450. A special discounted offer will be made to people who take action and sign up at the April 27 meeting.
The “Biggest Winner” was created in 2007 and has benefited more than 50 people. For more information, please attend the finale and informational meeting on April 27; call 661-294-0429; or visit http://www.thebiggestwinnerscv.com.
Proactive Health Systems was founded in 2006 to promote health and wellness to the community, local corporations and organizations.
